The certification programme is delivered as a complete self-paced learning experience. The self-paced options allow you to start the Cert at any time and complete the course in your own time. It is recommended to complete the course over 6 –8 weeks with a recommended commitment of 3 hours per week including assessment. There is no scheduled learning activities and interventions. You can set your own timetable for the assessment. You will receive support from a learning mentor to guide you through the process. The learning experience also includes networking with your peers on a social learning platform and practical project work. There will be a live virtual classroom once a month for students going through the certification programme.

Yes, you’ll be getting hands-on experience with Articulate Storyline - one of the most commonly used eAuthoring tools on the market. We will also explore a wide range of additional eLearning tools, platforms, and software available to you. You will come away feeling familiar with key eLearning tools and what they’re used for. You will also get free access to the Elucidate authoring tool during the course.
The UK higher education system is internationally renowned for its excellent standards. Our courses are all credit-rated by Glasgow Caledonian University, a highly rated UK university. The Professional Certificate in Instructional Design is allocated 10 credits at Level 7 on the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework. For your country, there will be an equivalent award in the relevant educational system.

Yes, to achieve your certification you will be assessed on your project. This a work-based project in which you’ll be applying your learnings on the course to design your own eLearning resource anddevelop a few prototype screens for it. Our tutors will give you all the support you need with your project as the course progresses.

The certification course addresses the core process, principles and practices of instructional design. It primarily focuses on the design of multimedia eLearning courses. It is ideal for people who are new to digital learning and are looking for a solid grounding in the fundamentals.
The diploma is designed for people who are looking to advance their career as a Digital Learning Professional. It covered the end-to-end knowledge and skills you will need to design engaging and impactful digital learning experiences.
While a lot of our students progress from the Cert to the Diploma there is not requirement to complete the Cert first and the Diploma covers everything that is covered in the Cert but it goes deeper and wider.
